Your patio is not finished. It is just dirty.
Faded colour, weeds in the joints, pavers that rock underfoot — none of that means replacement.
Cleaning, re-sanding and sealing brings most patios back for a fraction of the cost of tearing one out. If the pavers themselves are intact, there is almost always something worth doing before you start pricing a rebuild.
What restoration includes
Five steps that take a patio from tired to the way it looked the year it went in.
Deep cleaning
Dirt, algae, moss and years of weathering taken off the surface.
Weed and growth removal
Out of the joints, not just off the top — otherwise it is back by next season.
Re-levelling
Settled or rocking pavers lifted and re-set so the surface is even underfoot again.
Polymeric sand
New joint sand that hardens after watering, locking the pavers and keeping weeds out.
Sealing
Colour brought back and protected, matte or wet-look depending on what you want.
Any paver surface
Patios, walkways, driveways and steps — the same process applies to all of them.
Restoration is not just cosmetic
A restored patio costs a fraction of a replaced one and takes a fraction of the time. Sealing also makes the surface easier to clean and slows down the next round of fading, so it extends how long the original installation lasts rather than just covering it up.
Restoration questions
Is my patio too far gone?
Usually not. If the pavers themselves are intact, restoration is almost always an option — even when it looks hopeless. Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.
Will sealing change the colour?
It brings the original colour back and deepens it slightly. You choose between a matte finish and a wet look.
What is polymeric sand and why does it matter?
It is joint sand that hardens after it is watered in. It locks the pavers together and blocks the weeds and ants that get into regular sand.
How long does the work take?
Most residential patios are a one or two day job depending on size and how much re-levelling is needed.
Can you restore walkways and driveways too?
Yes — the same process applies to any paver surface.
What areas do you serve?
Reading, West Chester and the surrounding Southeastern PA area, including Berks, Chester, Lancaster and Montgomery counties.
Send us a photo of the patio.
We will tell you honestly whether it needs restoring or replacing. Most of the time it is the cheaper answer.
