Before anything gets built, it gets drawn.
Most yards end up as a collection of decisions made a year apart.
A patio here, a bed there, a tree someone liked at the garden centre. A plan means everything you do from now on adds up to one thing instead of several — and it lets you build in stages without the result looking staged.
What design covers
Site assessment
Sun, shade, slope, drainage and soil — before any drawing starts.
Layout
Where the patio, beds, paths and planting actually belong on your property.
Plant selection
Species that survive Pennsylvania winters and suit the light they will get.
Materials
Stone, paver and edging choices that work together instead of competing.
Phasing
A build order so you can spread the work across seasons or budgets.
Working with what is there
Established planting and existing hardscape kept where it makes sense.
Why a plan saves money
Building without one usually means paying twice: a patio laid where the drainage was wrong, plantings that outgrow the bed in three years, a walkway that has to move when something else changes. A plan front-loads those decisions while they are still free to change.
Design questions
Do I have to build everything at once?
No. A plan is specifically what lets you build in stages without the result looking staged.
What do I get at the end?
A layout for your property showing placement, materials and planting, plus an estimate for building it.
Will you work with plants I already have?
Yes. Mature planting is worth keeping where it makes sense, and a good plan works around what is already established.
Does the design account for drainage?
Yes. Grade and water movement are part of the site assessment, because they decide what can go where.
Can you design around hardscape that is already built?
Yes. Existing patios, walls and walkways become fixed points the rest of the plan works with.
What areas do you serve?
Reading, West Chester and the surrounding Southeastern PA area, including Berks, Chester, Lancaster and Montgomery counties.
Start with a plan.
Walk the property with us and tell us how you want to use it. The drawing comes after that.
